Hmm.
Yep, late again. I should just rename this site "lateagain.com". But I'm sure you're still cool with me, since you're here. This is good. Now we can play happy.
Well, you know how it is : new job, different hours, trying to discover how to balance everything together so that it works. Welcome to life, the real world... Yet how seriously can we take it, really? When we're working in a nightclub in Las Vegas? I mean, party central, right?
To others, perhaps. Temptation is a monster in this town, and open doors are everywhere. Some lead up, others lead down... and you must think carefully when wandering thru the oversized pinball machine that is Las Vegas. Don't get me wrong - come out, have some fun, ticker yer fancy - jest be smarrrrt aboot it, laddie.
At the risk of sounding egocentric (moi?) I like to think I am pretty smart in this town. I don't gamble, drink a glass or two maybe twice a month, never visit stripclubs, and wouldn't even know how to lie convincingly... damn, I must be a saint. Wasn't there an online application for priesthood somewhere? If you know where it is, Contact Me and send me the link. I just might have to sign up, if only for the clothes.
Ahem. That might have sounded a bit much. Perhaps the ol' ego can step down a bit, 'ere?
Nah. It's my bloody website, I can do what I want s'long as it doesn't get all lewd 'n' stuff.
Anyhow, the new job's goin' good. Been gettin' lotsa positive feedback from just about everybody, which is encouraging (what was that bit about ego?). I should be meeting with the UK's very own Richard Worboys, who worked on the original design and programming for JET nightclub. I've been looking forward to this meeting for some time, for he is one of the few people I've ever heard of who understands the ShowCAD system in ways similar to mine. His programming is very clean and effecient, and I've wondered just how far he takes the operation when he's programming for himself and not for others. My friends Matty and Heather of Nightvision Sound and Lighting have known him for years, and claim that Richard and I will get along like birds of a feather. Well, allllllllright.
Also, I've finally found a second car! Now Sue and I don't have to figure out how to share one car with two very different work schedules! Yay!
Plus, we've had some visitors - my ex-Crobar soldier Jinna popped in and we were able to have a lovely late breakfast. At 9:30. In the evening. 'Twas fun!
Oh! And I just found out that my ol' musical-production-source-for-everything-cool-and-fellow-DJ-techhead Kurt Herman and his mum will be arrving soon! Now, I haven't seen either of them in so long, I couldn't even tell you when. Which is one of the reasons we chose Las Vegas when Sue and I wanted a change in landscape - everyone comes here!
OK, I really have to fly once again. I have four CD reviews to write, two hi-tech computer systems to figure out, and one garage that needs some serious rearranging in order to fit two cars. WhoooOOoOooo!
Stay tuned.
